There is no fundamental difference between thermal spraying and spray welding. The key is that spraying is mainly used for anti-corrosion and hardness of the workpiece surface, while spray welding is mainly used for welding, and different solders are used for different purposes. The equipment can be universal.

(1)There is no remelting process when spraying the workpiece under different heating conditions. The surface temperature of the workpiece can always be controlled below 250 ℃. Generally, it will not deform and change the original structure of the workpiece. This is conducive to spraying to repair complex shapes, thin walls, and For workpieces with long sleeves and some important parts, in order to melt the powder layer, the temperature of the remelted and sintered workpieces can reach more than 900 ℃, which is easy to cause stress and deformation. Most of the workpieces will be annealed or annealed incompletely.
(2)The bonding state between spraying and the surface of the substrate is different. The combination of spraying and the surface of the substrate is mainly mechanical occlusion, and there are also tiny micro welding, the bonding strength is not high; generally 20MPa ~ 65MPa, spray welding is the metallurgy of the powder layer and the surface of the substrate Combined, the bonding strength can generally reach 343MPa~441MPa.
(3)The powder used for different spray melting must be self-fluxing alloy powder, and the powder used for spraying is not limited.
(4)The structure of the spray layer is different. The spray layer is uniform and dense. It is generally considered that there is no pores but the spray layer has certain pores.
