Compared with thermal diffusion infiltration plating, vapor deposition, high temperature synthesis, sintering and other processes, except spray welding, thermal spraying has little thermal influence on the matrix, and the matrix heating temperature is generally not more than 200 degrees, so the matrix materials will not change the structure, properties, and deformation.

(6) It is easy to adjust the coating composition. The composition and properties of coating can be easily adjusted by adjusting the type, proportion and coating technology of coating materials.

(7) It is easy to locally strengthen or modify the product. It can be sprayed locally on products to achieve local surface strengthening and modification. It can also produce thin - walled parts, hollow parts and complex - shaped parts without matrix by demoulding.

(8) Save valuable materials. On the premise of meeting the strength requirements, the matrix material can choose more common materials instead of the valuable whole material, only the surface coating with precious materials.

(9) Convenient maintenance. Thermal spraying operation is flexible, the process is relatively simple, strong adaptability, widely used in the maintenance of various equipment and components. After the coating is damaged, it can be removed and repaired by spraying again, and the base material can be fully utilized.
